Learning Support Assistants

  • Competitive rate £85 - £100 per day

Numerous Secondary Schools in Liverpool require Learning Support Assistants. The school require staff on a long-term contract which are on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday, 8.30-3:30pm. The positions have flexible start dates, most of the roles are to start as soon as Monday 10th March 2025, with a view to go into school for a trial morning the week before. There is flexibility around these dates as the schools are interested in securing the right support and therefore would rather wait for the right people.

The school have a range of experienced Senior Managers, Teachers and Learning Support Staff who have proven experience in ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, Asperger’s and Autistic Spectrum disorders. They are looking for individuals who are passionate to making a difference with children in Specialist settings. 

Within these roles, as a learning support assistant, you will be expected to create positive relationships with the pupils and encourage positive choices and behaviour. You will be expected to provide general support within the classes and work collaboratively with other LSAs and the class teachers.

The schools are keen to consider a variety of staff in terms of experience, you are likely to be successful whether you are an experienced SEN support assistant, a graduate looking for experience as a Learning Support Assistant or have current or prior experience support/care worker etc. Ideally if you have supported individuals with additional needs, that would be desirable however this is not essential to be successful. If you have experience within the education sector whether that be primary, secondary, college or university - we would like to hear from you!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
