Learning Support Assistant – Manchester

A secondary school in Manchester is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting students with their education.
Key Responsibilities:

Working one-to-one and in small groups with students who need extra support.

Helping to differentiate lessons and ensure all students can access the curriculum.

Supporting students with literacy, numeracy, and other learning needs.

Encouraging student engagement and fostering a positive learning environment.

Assisting teachers in delivering inclusive and interactive lessons.
-
Providing pastoral support to help students with confidence and behaviour.
Requirements:

Experience working with young people in an education, youth work, or childcare setting.

A caring and proactive approach to supporting students.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is desirable but not essential.

An understanding of SEN, behaviour management, or additional learning needs is a bonus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
