Daily Rate: £89 - £105 per day

We are recruiting for a proactive and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a high-performing secondary school in Manchester.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about behaviour management, youth work, and supporting young people facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Key duties will include:

• Providing consistent behaviour support to targeted students on a 1:1 or small group basis

• Delivering de-escalation strategies during periods of crisis

• Running structured mentoring sessions to improve emotional literacy, anger management, and conflict resolution

• Supporting the school’s behaviour policy inside and outside of lessons

• Contributing to individual behaviour support plans alongside SENCOs and pastoral staff

• Maintaining detailed records and progress reports

The ideal Behaviour Mentor will have:

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, alternative provision, or residential care environment

• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice

• Excellent interpersonal and de-escalation skills

• An ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
