Learning Support Assistant – Manchester
Location: Manchester
Start Date: Easter 2025
Pay Rate: £85 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
A high-performing secondary school in Manchester is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students who need additional help with their learning. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people, ensuring they reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:

One-to-One & Small Group Support: Assist students with SEN or additional learning needs.

Adapting Learning Materials: Modify classroom resources to support individual learning styles.

Encouraging Student Independence: Help students develop confidence and self-reliance in their learning.

Classroom Assistance: Work alongside teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and all students are engaged.

Monitoring Progress: Track student development and provide feedback to teachers.

Supporting Well-being: Assist students with both academic and emotional challenges.
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support capacity.

A strong understanding of SEN and additional learning needs.

Patience, empathy, and resilience.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
This role is perfect for: aspiring teachers, psychology graduates, and those with a background in youth work, social care, or mentoring.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
