Job description

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location:

South East England, Surrey, Croydon

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£90 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Help students with academic tasks and provide guidance as needed
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with students with special educational needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in special educational needs
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for some flexibility in working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
