JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: South East England, Surrey, Croydon
Job Type: Contract, Full-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £90 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans for SEN students
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Help students with personal care needs, if required
- Support students in their social and emotional development
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Relevant experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Knowledge of the UK education system and SEN policies
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Work primarily takes place in a classroom setting
- May involve assisting with outdoor activities or school trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
