Job description

Job Title: KS2 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Greys

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialised support and intervention to Key Stage 2 (KS2) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to address the specific needs of each student
  • Deliver tailored teaching sessions to enhance academic progress and social skills development
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in supporting students with SEN
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and best practises in SEN education

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Proven experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the KS2 curriculum and educational frameworks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
  • Empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Additional training in specific interventions for SEN students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
