Job description

Job Title: KS2 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Aveley

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted support and intervention to Key Stage 2 (KS2) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to help students improve their academic performance
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCO to ensure a coordinated approach to student support

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN in a school setting
  • Knowledge of relevant SEN strategies and interventions

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • A degree in Education or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in providing SEN support to primary school students
  • Understanding of the UK education system and curriculum for Key Stage 2
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience in delivering intervention programmes tailored to individual student needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, with flexibility required to accommodate student schedules
  • Work primarily within a school or learners home

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
