Contract: Fixed Term (1 year) with the view of being made permanent

A highly reputable Multi-Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join the staff at their school in Congleton. The position is a long-term, fixed-term contract (initially one year), with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Key Stage 1 class, ensuring the delivery of high-quality lessons and fostering a positive learning environment. The role will include planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, along with the opportunity to contribute to the broader school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to plan and implement cross-curricular projects and activities.
  • Support the emotional, social, and academic development of each student.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, contributing to the growth of the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • A strong understanding of the primary national curriculum and assessment processes.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for teaching young children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • High level of communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for all children.
  • Experience of working within an inclusive environment is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
