Key Stage 1 Teacher
Job description
Job Title: Key stage 1 class teacher
Salary: M1 - M6 paid to scale
Location: NN3
Start date: September 2025
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and passionate key stage 1 teacher to work in a year 2 class in a lovely school in Northampton. The school has fantastic facilities for extra curricular activities and supports the students in the wider curriculum as well as in key subjects. Staff are also supported well in additional CPD training.
Key responsibilities
- To be responsible for the planning, preparing and marking using the National Curriculum
- To have a clear knowledge of the assessments for end of Key stage 1 including SATs and Phonics Screening
- To be able to develop a good relationship with students, parents and staff
- To provide a safe learning environment where all children are included
Qualications
To be a successful teacher, you should have:
- QTS - Qualified Teacher Status
- 1-2 years experience working in KS1
- Knowledge and experience of the Year 2 SATs and Phonics Screening assessments
- A caring and approachable nature to work with the younger students in the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
