Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated IT and Computing Teacher looking for a new challenge? Our client secondary school in Bury is seeking a passionate teacher to join their dynamic department on either an ASAP or September 2025 start date.

About the Role:
As an IT and Computing Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across key stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential skills in technology, computing, and problem-solving. You will work closely with a supportive team of educators who are committed to providing an inspiring learning experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons in IT and Computing to students in KS3 and KS4
  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons and resources that meet the needs of all students
  • Providing feedback on student progress and supporting their development
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Supporting the wider school community and participating in extracurricular activities

Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in IT, Computing, or a related field
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for IT and Computing
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4 is desirable, though NQTs are welcome to apply
  • Ability to engage and inspire students, fostering a love of learning
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A team player who works well within a collaborative environment
