Job description
Are you a teacher of Computing available to work full-time until the end of the academic year?
Due to a member of the Computing department going on a long-term absence, this school located in Oldham OL2, is urgently seeking a teacher of Computing to join the department and take on full-teacher responsibilities for at least a full half term and quite possibly longer. The candidate will be required to deliver Computing lessons at KS3 and GCSE and assume full responsibility for planning and marking under the guidance of the head of department. This is a traditional school with high standards of student attainment and behaviour. The school is easy to access by the M60, and has excellent public-transport links nearby, making the school ideally situated for candidates throughout Oldham and the surrounding areas such as Tameside, Rochdale, Manchester and Bury.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have:
- QTS
- Experience delivering ICT up to KS4/GCSE
- A willingness to commit full-time until at least December and to take on full teacher responsibilities
- An ability to build a rapport with young people and to teach engaging ICT lessons that lead to excellent learning outcomes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
