Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position begins in March and will run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance.
About the Role:
As a Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to students studying History, Geography, and other Humanities subjects. This role is ideal for recent Humanities graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and considering a career in teaching or education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum, working alongside experienced teachers.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students, helping them to grasp key concepts, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic targets.
- Support students in preparing for assessments and exams, including developing revision strategies and guiding them through practice questions.
- Create and adapt resources to cater to different learning styles and ensure all students can access the material effectively.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff to inform future lesson planning and targeted interventions.
- Encourage students to engage actively in lessons, fostering their interest in History, Geography, and other Humanities topics.
- Support extracurricular activities, such as school trips or clubs, to enhance the overall learning experience.

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in a Humanities-related subject, such as History, Geography, Religious Studies, or similar disciplines.
- Demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage young learners.
- Be proactive, patient, and adaptable, with a focus on meeting the individual needs of students.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education.
- Be available full-time from March to the end of the academic year.
While previous experience working with young people is advantageous, it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
