Graduate Teaching Assistant needed in Wigan

A mainstream secondary school in Wigan is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work closely with students requiring additional support. This is a full-time role, perfect for those considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support within the classroom.
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning strategies.
- Helping students build confidence, engagement, and progress in their education.
What We’re Looking For:
- A graduate with a degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science, or a related subject.
- A proactive and patient individual with a passion for helping young people succeed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
