Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in Stoke on Trent starting in January 2025. This role is ideal for those looking to gain classroom experience and develop skills in classroom management, providing a fantastic pathway into teaching.

Role Overview:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities across Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring students remain focused and on-task.
  • Deliver pre-set work to students, maintaining a structured and productive learning environment.
  • Support students of varying abilities and provide encouragement, while following the school’s behaviour and classroom management policies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Suitable for graduates, unqualified teachers, or experienced LSAs looking to gain secondary school experience.
  • Confidence in managing a classroom and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work.
