Graduate Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel is seeking Graduate Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Basingstoke from March 2025. With increasing demand for classroom cover, schools require additional staff to ensure students continue to receive high-quality education. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching and behaviour management skills while making a positive impact in local schools.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supervising students and ensuring they stay on task during lessons.
• Adapting to different classrooms and subjects, depending on the school’s requirements.
• Building confidence in classroom management and working with students of varying abilities.
• Gaining first-hand teaching experience, ideal for those considering a career in education.

• A degree (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence in managing a classroom and engaging students.
• A positive and adaptable attitude.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
