Job description

Are you a recent graduate eager to gain valuable classroom experience? We are recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to join secondary schools in Basingstoke from January 6th, 2025. With schools in need of additional support, this role provides an excellent opportunity to step into the education sector and develop essential skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and deliver pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Ensure students remain engaged and actively participate in lessons
  • Manage classroom behaviour and enforce school policies
  • Support students of varying abilities, ensuring the smooth running of the class
  • Develop leadership and classroom management skills, valuable for a career in education

Position Details:

  • Full-time and part-time roles available, depending on your availability
  • Ideal for graduates, unqualified teachers, and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
  • Gain hands-on experience for a future career in teaching or education

What We Are Looking For:

  • Graduates passionate about working with young people and making a positive impact in education
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • No prior teaching experience required—full training and support provided

Requirements:

  • UK residents only
  • A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for this role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
