Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive English and Maths GCSE tutoring sessions to students in the East of England region
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the individual learning needs of students
  • Provide academic support and guidance to help students improve their English and Maths skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to enhance learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with other educators and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive learning experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and resources
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Organisational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Additional subject expertise in related fields

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility in scheduling
  • Travel within the East of England region may be required
  • Opportunity for remote tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
