Functional Skills Tutor Required in Derby (DE1) – Part Time ASAP
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an experienced Functional Skills tutor in Nottingham to teach, for example, a KS4 LAC student with challenging and aggressive behaviours who is unable to attend school. The tuition would be expected to occur in the care home. The student is working at below their age-expected level and requires additional emotional support.
About the Role:
- 1:1 Tuition for a Year 10 LAC student with SEMH
- 15 hours a week
- In person, in the student’s care home
- Working materials and resources will need to be provided by the tutor
- Focus on Functional Skills, and providing additional emotional support
Who we are looking for:
- People who are comfortable lone working and communicating with local authorities and care home staff
- Previous experience working with LAC students and students with Attachment Disorder and Childhood Trauma
- Tutors who can plan, produce, and teach Functional Skills English and Maths
Requirements:
- Teachers with QTS or tutoring experience
- Previous experience teaching KS4
- Experience of teaching and working with children with SEMH
- Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
