Functional Skills English Tutor – Ollerton, Nottinghamshire

Teaching Personnel is looking for a Functional Skills English Tutor to support learners in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated tutor to deliver Functional Skills English support to students of varying abilities. This role involves helping learners develop their reading, writing, spelling, and communication skills, ensuring they gain the confidence needed to achieve their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored Functional Skills English sessions, adapting to individual learning needs

  • Support students with spelling, punctuation, grammar, and comprehension

  • Provide structured lessons to build confidence and prepare learners for assessments

  • Track student progress and provide feedback

Requirements:

  • A teaching qualification (or relevant tutoring experience)

  • Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English

  • Experience working with learners of different abilities

  • Patient, adaptable, and supportive teaching style

  • A DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Job Details:

  • Location: Ollerton, Nottinghamshire

  • Flexible hours available

  • In-person and/or online tutoring opportunities
