Are you a passionate Functional Skills Tutor with strong behaviour management skills?

Teaching Personnel is proud to support vulnerable learners across Nottinghamshire, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 support in Maths and/or English to students at Key Stage 3 level. This role focuses on helping students who may struggle in mainstream education, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact—and may lead to a long-term, full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in English and/or Maths on a 1:1 basis

  • Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs and overcome barriers to engagement

  • Build positive relationships and manage behaviour effectively

  • Create a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages progress and confidence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
