English Tutor Wanted – Sunderland | Part-Time / Flexible Hours 

Location: Sunderland, UK
Rate: £25–£30 per hour (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part-time /Flexible

Are you passionate about the English language and eager to make a difference in students’ lives? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Tutor in Sunderland!

About the Role:

As an English Tutor, you'll work one-on-one or in small groups with students of varying ages and abilities, helping them to develop confidence and improve their reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills. Sessions may take place in-person or online, depending on student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored English lessons

  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback

  • Create a positive, engaging learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature

  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience (preferred but not essential)

  • A patient, friendly, and professional attitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A degree in English or a related subject (desirable)

  • A Child Wokrforce Enhanced DBS on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
