English Tutor
Job description
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated English Tutor to work with KS3 and KS4 students in alternative provision settings, either in the home, community hubs or in school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach English tuition sessions that engage and support students.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of each student.
- Monitor students' progress and provide feedback using TP Tutors bespoke reporting platform.
- Build positive relationships with students and support their academic and personal growth.
- Work with other staff to help students overcome challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Experience teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, using the UK National Curriculum.
- Ability to support students with different learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students.
- A teaching qualification is preferred (e.g., QTS, PGCE) or the equivalent experience.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching.
Desirable:
- Experience working in alternative provision or with students facing additional challenges.
- Knowledge of how to manage behaviour effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
