English Teacher – Secondary School in Middleton

Location: Middleton
Position: English Teacher
Start Date: May 2025
Salary: in line with MPS/UPS scale points

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Middleton. This role offers the chance to inspire students and foster a love for literature and language in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Create and implement schemes of work that align with the curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback.
  • Support students in their personal and academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the English curriculum.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum for secondary schools.
  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for student development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
