English Teacher – Bournemouth

Full-Time – September 2025 Start

Teaching Personnel Dorset is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Bournemouth from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and foster a love for literature and language in a supportive school environment.

The Role: We are looking for an English Teacher to join the department on a full-time basis from September 2025. This position will be paid to scale and offers a fantastic opportunity to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that enhance students' reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and engage students.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged and motivated to succeed.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in extracurricular activities and supporting student enrichment opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passionate and knowledgeable English Teacher with strong subject expertise.

  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.

  • Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching and learning.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A relevant degree or experience teaching English.

  • A valid child-only enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable).
