English Supply Teacher

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced English Teacher to join one of our client schools in Manchester ASAP.

This position will be full-time, and the position is due to begin in September at the beginning of the academic year. This role will initially be a temporary for the first half-term, however, based on good feedback there will be opportunities to be placed in another school or remain at the same school with the support of Teaching Personnel.

Throughout this position, you will be paid in line with your teacher pay scale, (£31,650 to £49,084 per year).

The school that you will be working with is in Moss Side, it currently has an Ofsted rating of 2, meaning that it is a ‘good’ school. The school has previously had issues with the behaviour, recently they have had more success in managing this. It is essential that you are able to effectively manage the behaviour of pupils to ensure that the pupils gain a good understanding of the lessons that are provided.

Throughout this position, you will deliver English lessons that cover the curriculum to pupils in Secondary School. Achieving a GCSE in English can create many more opportunities for pupils, whether this is for further studies or for employment. Therefore, it is highly important that the successful candidate is able to delivery engaging lessons.

In order to be able to work within this school, it is essential that you are willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, this will also need to be placed onto the update service to ensure that it remains up to date. You will also be required to provide a minimum of two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your employment history. Throughout the registration process, you will also be required to complete an online safeguarding course.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
