Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to embark on an exciting teaching journey? We are seeking a dedicated ECT to join our ever-growing team of dedicated educators in the Bury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your teaching career and make a real difference to the lives of children!

About the Role:

As an Early Career Teacher, you will be supported in your professional development while teaching a dynamic and engaging curriculum to pupils of all ages. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues in a variety of classroom environments. We have a range of teaching roles to offer in the new academic year, but if you are looking to gain paid experience prior to that point, we have a range of work opportunities for support staff across the Summer Term too! We offer a competitive salary of £120-£160 day rate and full-time hours are typically 8.30am-3.30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across the national curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
  • Support students in their academic and personal growth. Helping them to achieve their goals.
  • Monitor and assess student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with and parents to support the pupils and help them to foster a love of learning.

About You:

  • Newly qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or due to complete your training by September 2025.
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to improving outcomes for students.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Eager to learn and grow professionally in a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Ability to reflect on your teaching practice and be open to feedback and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
