Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Bolton

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our team of committed educators in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their professional journey in a supportive and rewarding environment.


Position Overview

As an ECT, you will deliver high-quality lessons and play an integral role in supporting pupils’ academic and personal development. You’ll benefit from guidance, mentorship, and access to a variety of teaching experiences across local schools.

  • Location: Bolton
  • Contract: Full-time
  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Daily Rate: £120 – £160 (depending on experience and placement)
  • Start Date: Summer Term roles available immediately; full-time positions from September 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
  • Support the academic, emotional, and social growth of students
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to enhance pupil outcomes

Candidate Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), or due to qualify by September 2025
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for teaching and learning
  • Willingness to reflect on practice and embrace professional development
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
