Cover Supervisors Needed – Secondary Schools in Salford

Are you looking for a rewarding role in education? Do you have strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to lead a classroom? We are seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Salford, delivering pre-set lessons and ensuring a positive learning environment for students.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise whole classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain on task.

  • Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across a variety of subjects.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s policies.

  • Build strong professional relationships with students and staff.

  • Provide additional support to students where needed, fostering engagement and participation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in leading a class.

  • Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or classroom support).

  • The ability to adapt to different subjects and school environments.

  • A professional and positive approach to working with students.

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

  • Graduates or individuals looking to gain teaching experience before pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
