Job description

An exciting opportunity to gain teaching experience within secondary schools in Bury as a cover supervisor.

  • Flexible Cover Supervisors required to work across several secondary schools in Bury.
  • Work between 1 and 5 days a week, depending on your availability.
  • Ideal for candidates looking for flexible work around studies or other jobs/responsibilities.
  • Earn up to £450 per week, depending on your experience.
  • Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.

Application Requirements

  • Must have previous experience working within secondary education or have experience in a similar role with transferrable skills.
  • Must be educated to degree level.
  • A teaching qualification is not required.

Working as a Cover Supervisor in our client schools, your roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Covering and delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability.
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.

Our partner schools are located across Bury and are easily accessible from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester including Wigan, Bolton and Salford via the M61 and A58. For non-drivers, our client schools can also be accessed via several forms of public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
