Cover Supervisor Job Description

Location:

North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type:

Contract, Full-Time hours

£85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a safe learning environment
  • Manage student behaviour and ensure compliance with school policies
  • Provide support to students in their learning and assist with any questions or concerns
  • Report back to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues that arise

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children or young adults
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Experience working with children or young adults

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Basic knowledge of educational principles and practises
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualifications in a relevant field
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with students of various ages
  • Full-time hours with occasional overtime may be required
  • Interact with students, teachers, and school administration on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
