Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location:

North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

£90 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Providing support to students in their learning and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Managing student behaviour effectively and in accordance with school policies
  • Assisting with the preparation of classroom materials and resources
  • Following the lesson plans provided by the teacher and ensuring their successful implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a positive learning environment

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Experience:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
