Job description

Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to secondary school students
  • Develop curriculum and instructional materials to meet the educational goals
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Manage classroom activities and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages and computer systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Education
  • Experience with exam board specifications
  • Experience in extracurricular activities related to Computer Science

Working Conditions:

  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
