Job description

Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and informative computer science lessons to students
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students in their learning and academic development
  • Utilise technology effectively in teaching methods
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching computer science at the secondary level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management abilities

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of current educational trends and best practises in computer science education
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Proficiency in relevant computer science software and programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Computer Science
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment
  • Participation in relevant professional development courses or workshops

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment with regular classroom teaching responsibilities
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
  • Potential participation in extracurricular activities or school events
  • Adherence to school policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
