Teaching Assistant required at a College in Manchester City Centre
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit for a Teaching Assistant to work at a college based in Manchester City Centre, starting after the Christmas holidays, on 8th January 2024. This role will run until the end of the academic year, in July (5 days a week, 8:30am – 3:00pm). This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside very welcoming and supportive staff, with great experience supporting a variety of students.
This college is in a great location, surrounded by various train links and bus routes which go in and out of Manchester City Centre. Someone with access to a vehicle would find the commute to this school from surrounding city areas easy, the college also offers parking onsite in a secure car park for members of staff.

The role itself will involve helping teachers and supporting students with a variety of subjects wherever necessary, so the ability to be flexible and adapt to helping with any subject would be extremely beneficial. It is extremely important that applicants are enthusiastic and driven as you will be working with students very passionate about their subjects who are very eager to learn.
Additional requirements
- Experience working at a college would be desirable
- It is essential that applicants can be patient and are willing to build relationships with students
- Flexible to helping support staff and students with different subjects
- Previous experience working with departments to identify pupils lacking confidence is desirable (as 1:1 and small group support will be required in this position)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
