Child and Young Adult Support Worker
Job description
A highly acclaimed SEN School group, located in Meldreth (near Royston), on the border of Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join their permanent staff team.

Role: Child and Young Adult Support Worker
Location: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (dependent on competency and qualifications) + £1500 Welcome Bonus*
Annual Salary: £24,375 - £26,582 for a 40-hour week
Hours: 40 hours per week
Training: Comprehensive training provided with support to pursue a Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care post-probation

Requirements:
*Experience in a support role within a SEN setting is highly preferred, but not mandatory. Training will be provided for exceptional candidates with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
*NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is advantageous.
*A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children and young adults with special educational needs.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with students, staff, and families.
*A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
*Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, as required by the school schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
