Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs (SEN)? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of our SEN schools in Cambridge. This school is a brand-new provision opening September 2024, and they are looking for dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join the team on a long-term placement and be part of the growth of the provision!

Upon a successful probationary period of 20 working weeks, the school would take applicants on permanently. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in the classroom and one-on-one.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of education health care plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Have good understanding and upload key safeguarding policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for education.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience in SEN is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
