Behaviour Support Assistant in a Reception Class!

Are you passionate about supporting young children's development and helping them thrive in a positive learning environment? We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our Reception team and make a meaningful impact in our pupils' lives.

Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
Location: Formby, Merseyside (L37)
Start Date: Monday 2nd September 2024
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to Reception students with behavioural needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and implement Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs).
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Foster a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging positive interactions among pupils.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are preferred but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
