Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Educator Assistant to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students with additional educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to students, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of educational activities, ensuring that the student remains engaged and motivated.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback and contributing to the review of educational goals.
  • Support the student in managing their behaviour and developing social skills.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN is desirable, but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
