Position Details:

  • Contract: Full-time
  • Location: Central Liverpool

About the Role:
We are seeking an empathetic and committed TA to support children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a nurturing primary school setting. You will work closely with the school’s SENCO and teaching staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with ASC.
  • Using tailored strategies to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Promoting social inclusion and encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children, preferably within an SEN setting.
  • Knowledge of autism and strategies to support pupils effectively.
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to learning and behaviour management.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • (Desired but not essential): Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or training in areas like PECS or Makaton.
