Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional with a passion for mentoring and training the next generation? Our client, a leading further education college in Cambridge, is seeking a dedicated Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering to support and guide learners through their apprenticeships.

The Role:

As an Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering, you will:

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing high-quality coaching, mentoring, and support.
• Conduct regular progress reviews, ensuring learners are on track with their qualifications.
• Work closely with employers to identify suitable tasks and training opportunities.
• Support apprentices in developing their portfolios and preparing for end-point assessments (EPA).
• Ensure all tracking and documentation meet quality assurance and compliance requirements.
• Deliver targeted training to help learners develop wider employability and life skills.
• Promote the college’s values and ensure adherence to awarding body standards.

About You:

We are looking for a skilled professional who has:

• A relevant Civil Engineering qualification and industry experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A passion for training and mentoring learners.
• An understanding of apprenticeship standards and end-point assessments.

Qualifications Required:

• A Level 3 vocational qualification in Civil Engineering.
• A Level 3 TAQA qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) – desirable but not essential.
