We are seeking a Full Time Specialist Maths & ICT Teacher to join us.

One of our partner SEN schools based just outside of Cambridge, are seeking a talented and experienced Maths and ICT Teacher to join them. The position is for the remainder of the academic year with the possibility of extension into the next academic year. This school specialises in supporting young people aged 5-19 with Autism diagnoses.

About the role:

  • Sociable hours, NO WEEKENDS – 8.30am-3.30pm (these hours may vary by 45 minutes) 
  • Must be able to work Monday to Friday
  • Specialise in teaching KS3 maths and ICT.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support student development.
  • Be a source of motivation, encouragement, and positivity for your students.
  • Self-assured in handling challenging behaviour.
  • Plan, resource and deliver all lessons you teach.
  • possess a solid understanding of the curriculum and the confidence to teach additional subjects, such as the humanities and food technology.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with SEN children (not essential)
  • Specialise or hold qualifications related to Maths and ICT.
  • Have relevant teaching experience that can be referenced.
  • Hold a valid Enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
  • Have the passion and drive to work with children - MUST
  • Able to use own initiative to get involved – MUST
