Job Title: Student Development Manager
Location: Cambridge
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Our client, a leading college in Cambridge, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Student Development Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring students receive the guidance, support, and resources needed to excel both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance student welfare initiatives, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Develop and implement student engagement strategies, ensuring all learners have access to opportunities that enrich their academic journey.

  • Provide pastoral support, working closely with students to address personal and academic challenges.

  • Coordinate extracurricular activities, leadership programs, and personal development opportunities to support holistic student growth.

  • Collaborate with academic staff and support teams to ensure a seamless student experience, from enrolment to graduation.

  • Monitor and evaluate student progression, implementing interventions where necessary to ensure positive outcomes.

  • Support the college’s safeguarding policies, acting as a key contact for student well-being concerns.

  • Maintain strong relationships with external organisations to enhance student development programs.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in student support, pastoral care, or a similar role within an educational setting.

  • Strong understanding of student welfare, safeguarding, and personal development strategies.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • A proactive and empathetic approach to student engagement and well-being.

  • Experience in organising and delivering student-focused initiatives, activities, or programs.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and liaise effectively with external partners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
