Job Opportunity: Administrative Assistant (Receptionist)
Location: Secondary School, Accrington
Position: Long-term Cover for Absence
We are seeking an organised and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Accrington. This is a long-term temporary position to cover a staff absence, with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming students, parents, and visitors in a professional manner
- Answering and directing phone calls and handling email enquiries
- Providing general administrative support to school staff
- Managing visitor sign-in and safeguarding procedures
- Assisting with student attendance records and general office duties
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, approachable attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in a school environment or similar setting is an advantage, but not essential
- Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
