Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Support and General Cover Supervisor to join a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Accrington. This is a full-time, long-term position working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.

Start date: 28/10/2024 
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted intervention support to students with SEMH needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal development goals.
  • Cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Manage behavior effectively, using de-escalation techniques and fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the teaching team and other professionals to support the emotional well-being of students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar role, particularly within SEMH settings, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and behavior management skills.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
