Part-Time Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ADHD) – Blackpool
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: After Easter Half Term
Hours: Mornings Only (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Flexible
Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 child with ADHD in a Blackpool primary school. This is a mornings-only role, starting after the February half term, providing 1:1 support to help the child stay engaged, focused, and reach their full potential.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 support for a Year 6 child with ADHD, helping them stay on task and manage their emotions.
Implementing structured routines to promote focus and positive learning behaviors.
Using de-escalation strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and support progress.
Encouraging independence and boosting the child’s confidence and self-esteem.
The Ideal Candidate:
✔️ Experience working with children with ADHD and additional needs
✔️ Ability to use strategies to manage attention and behavior effectively
✔️ Patient, calm, and nurturing approach
✔️ Strong communication skills to work with teachers, parents, and external professionals
✔️ Relevant TA qualifications or experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
