Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Wolverhampton
Weekly Salary: £420 to £450
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in Wolverhampton, catering to children aged 11-16 with individual educational health plans and additional support needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access learning and reach their potential
  • Assist with implementing individual education and health plans
  • Support classroom teachers with tailored interventions
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure student progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
  • Ability to show patience, empathy, and resilience

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term-time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
