Our Alternative Provision School in Liverpool offers a supportive and dynamic learning environment where students can study Functional Skills in English and Mathematics alongside a range of BTEC Vocational Qualifications, including Art & Design, Hair & Beauty, and Construction. They are looking for a committed educator to join their team and inspire the students to succeed.
About the Role:
As a 1-1 support assistant at the school, you will have the opportunity to guide students in small groups, supporting the teachers. There is a fully equipped salon, and general teaching rooms with whiteboards for English and Maths. Your role will involve supporting students in their academic and vocational studies, helping them to break down barriers to learning and achieve to the best of their ability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement needed to succeed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, setting high standards and leading by example.
- Help students develop both academically and personally, guiding them to build confidence and resilience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create tailored learning plans that address each student's unique needs and abilities.
What We're Looking For:
- A passionate and compassionate educator with a commitment to working full-time in an alternative provision setting.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, with a strong understanding of how to support and motivate them.
- The ability to inspire and engage students, helping them to overcome previous barriers to education.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for working effectively with students and staff.
- Flexibility and creativity in your teaching approach, ensuring all students are engaged and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
