Job description

Are you a caring and compassionate teaching assistant who would like the opportunity to work in a special secondary school in Liverpool?

If you love the idea of a career in the education sector, working with some of the city’s most vulnerable children and young adults, we have a great opportunity for you.

  • The working hours are 8.30am–3.30pm (full-time)
  • Specialist provision- Liverpool
  • Start date-September
  • Pay-£85-£100 Per day

The secondary school aim to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs by ensuring that pupils feel safe, happy and healthy when learning. Each child is given an individually tailored programme to support them in any way they can. The aim is to give them the skills to live as independently as possible, enabling them to make their own life choices.

The school achieved GOOD in their Ofsted report, with comments from parents who stated ‘I highly recommend to any parents considering this school. My son is a different child and is thriving academically’. They make sure that all students feel a sense of belonging through the shared values of ‘C.A.R.E.S’ (Commitment, Achievement, Respect, Enrichment and safety). The school have exceptionally enthusiastic staff who are fully committed in improving the school further and giving the pupils the best start in life possible.

The school are looking for the right candidate who has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students to help guide them to achieve to the best of their ability. They are looking for somebody who has experience working with students with special educational needs. You will be a caring and compassionate individual who can commit to a full-time placement in order to build strong trust worthy bonds with students in order to keep them safe and comfortable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
