1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

North West England, Merseyside, Liverpool

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
  • Support the teacher in delivering personalised learning activities and interventions
  • Help students with SEN to develop their academic and social skills
  • Monitor and record student progress, and report back to the teacher

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 3 or above

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN, such as autism or dyslexia

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for additional training and professional development opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
